Richard Kasuboski

In Loving Memory It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard "Dick" Kasuboski, age 84, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who lived a happy and fulfilling life. He was born October 26, 1941, in Berlin. He was the son of John and Emma (Bliefnick) Kasuboski. He graduated from Berlin High School and attended Oshkosh Auto Advancement and Manager training. During this era, he married Barbara J. Doro, daughter of Hubert and Lillian Doro. In the years to follow they lived in Oshkosh, Omro and Poy Sippi and raised their seven children. He was the manager of Montgomery Ward store in Oshkosh as automotive sales and service for 24 years, achieving many company awards for outstanding customer service and sales. After leaving Montgomery Ward due to downsizing of the company, he joined the Oshkosh Truck Corporation and spent the next 22 years in the production of military and commercial trucks. He was awarded many cost cutting ideas on production. Following his retirement he enjoyed several part-time jobs for D-K Trucking in the transportation of U.S. mail as well as Ted Janicki from Neilsville. He drove routes for these companies for over 13 years. He shared many wonderful adventures with his beloved wife, Barbara. Together they enjoyed camping trips, traveling to new places, and making memories that they would carry with them for years to come. Their life together was filled with love, laughter, and countless special moments. Other interests after retirement included a great deal of traveling with their RV and wintering in Florida and Texas with their close friends Richard and Charlotte Schram as well as Bob and Gloria Schrader. Above all, Dick treasured his family. He was the proud father of 7 children: Chris (deceased) (Heidi), Maria Leichtnam (David), Randy (Peggy), Kevin (Brenda), Laurie Tostenson (James-deceased), Shawn, and Quentin (Tara). Also, Annette Cherney (Steve) was welcomed into the family and loved by Richard and Barbara as one of their own. Additional family includes his grandchildren: Kendal, Kyle, Kraig, Alissa, Jacob, Abigail, Megan, Emily, Justin, Adrian, Krystal, Alexis, Justin, Emily, Olivia, Nathan, Maya, Lucas, Parker, and Mikayla. Great-grandchildren include Greyson, Rowan, Sullivan, Kash, Brynn, Gavin, Fletcher, Evan, Lauryn, Jackson, Emmersyn, Boston, London, Brecken, Rome, Jet, Mason, Marshall, Sophia, Levi, and Easton. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Christopher and beloved wife Barbara. He will be remembered for his love for family, hunting, fishing, camping, and endless games of cribbage. Though he is no longer with us, the memories of his life and love he shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. Family and friends may visit with the family and pay their respects to Richard on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 5 to 6:45 p.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin with a rosary at 6:45 p.m. and on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at St Jude the Apostle Parish St. Vincent location in Oshkosh from 10-11:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Father Nathan Budde and Deacon Brad Gallenberg with a lunch to follow in the Parish Hall. Burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin at 2:30 p.m.
