MaryAnn Eagen

Our beloved mother and grandmother, MaryAnn Eagen, of Berlin, passed away peacefully at home on November 18, 2024, at the age of 87, surrounded by friends and family. MaryAnn was married for 65 years to the love of her life, Donald, who preceded her in death. She became a farm wife at the age of 20 and embraced the lifestyle, which included tending extensive gardens, canning and preserving bushels of produce, and preparing meals for an overflowing table full of family and farm helpers. Her greatest passion was spending time in her flower gardens. MaryAnn also enjoyed reading and the company of her beloved pets. Above all, she cherished the importance of family meals and passed down the legacy of talented cooks and bakers to future generations. MaryAnn graduated from Omro High School, class of 1955. She was an active member of All Saints Catholic Church and participated in the “This and That” club, Homemakers club, and the annual Arbor Day Celebration In addition to her work on the farm, MaryAnn worked at Eskimo Comfort, Don Lind Blasting and Barbarossa Blasting as a property inspector, and later at the Berlin Walmart for over 25 years. During these years, she formed many lifelong friendships that she treasured deeply. She is survived by her brother, John Rausch; sisters-in-law, Carol (John) Rausch and Eva (Don) Rausch); her son, Michael (Sandra) Eagen; daughters, Susan (Joe) Schleis, Karen (Neal) Wolff, and Amy (Jim) Briskie; grandchildren Briann and Emily Eagen, Kaitlyn and Ryan Schleis, and Jack and Sam Wolff; as well as other relatives and friends. MaryAnn will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family and community. She will be dearly missed but forever in our hearts. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Amy for her loving care and support. We also thank Hospice for their extra support. Visitation will be at Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home in Berlin, on Tuesday November 26, 2024 from 4-7:00 p.m. and also on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 from 9-10:30 a.m.. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for MaryAnn will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church in Berlin, Wisconsin with Monsignor James Gunn officiating Inurnment in Oakwood Cemetery will follow the service.
