Marion Kuharski

Marion A Kuharski age 93 of Rush Lake, WI, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 1,2025. She passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Theda Care hospital in Berlin, WI. She was born on June 12,1932 at home in Fond du lac county to Albert and Lillian (Henke) Nemitz. She was baptized on June 24,1932 and confirmed on Pentecost Sunday on June 9, 1946 at St Johns Church in Nekimi. She was married to Sidney Kuharski on May 12, 1956 at First English Lutheran Church in Oshkosh by Rev. E.A. Koch. They lived on a dairy farm in Rush Lake where they started their family, she lived there until March of this year when she went to assisted living at Brown Wilcox in Berlin. She helped on the farm, raised 2 children and started working at Rippin Good Cookies, where she worked for 38 years until she retired in 1998. Then she went to work at EAA in the volunteer kitchen for 10 years while there she met a lot of interesting people from all over the United States and Canda. After retiring from there she would help with catering, gardening and whatever she was able to help with. During the winter months she would fly south to Ruskin Florida where she had a house and would invite friends down for the winter. She was a very sociable person who loved to go and do things with her friends and go to polka dances on Sunday afternoons. She was also very active in 4-H and the Winnebago fair where she would work with the Cloverbuds. She had been an active leader for Lakeshore 4-H club for 51 years. Her last months at Brown Wilcox you would see her working on puzzles, she would get them done and they would frame them and hang them up there. She enjoyed giving the staff a hard time but they enjoyed her dearly there. She is survived by her children Dennis Kuharski of Tampa Florida, and Kathy (George) Wunrow of Rush Lake. Grandchildren, Candi (Paul) Kasuboski of Omro and Joseph (Sara) Wunrow of Rush Lake, George Jr. (Butch) (Deb) Wunrow of Loyal; great-grandchildren, Makala (Brennan) Tanner of Rush Lake, Griffin, Brock, and Addisyn Kasuboski of Omro, Sidney and Heath Wunrow of Rush Lake, Justice and Jisselle Wunrow of Loyal great-great grandson, Baylor Tanner; sisters, Margie Ewald, Eileen Deffering, Joan Nemitz; brother, Edmund Nemitz; and sister-in-law, Judy Nemitz along many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lillian Nemitz; husband, Sidney in 1989; sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Roger Orvis; brothers, Ervin and Ronald Nemitz; sisters-in law, Beverly and Carla Nemitz, brothers-in-law, Earl Deffering and Albert Ewald Jr.; and son-in-law, George Wunrow Sr. Family and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 9-12:00 p.m. at the Light of Christ Lutheran Fellowship Church, located with Faith Community Church of Berlin. A funeral service will be held officiated by Pastor Scott Piper at 12:00 p.m. Marion had a strong faith and we know that she is with her Lord in Heaven, till we meet again mom we love you The family would like to thank the staff at Brown Wilcox for the care that they gave her and to the staff of ThedaCare Berlin for keeping her comfortable, and to hospice for their care and to Stacy for your special words to mom it meant so much.
