Theresa Garcia

It is with much sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Theresa Beatrice Garcia on the evening of Monday, August 4, 2025 with family and friends at her bedside. Theresa was born on Wednesday, March 13, 1940 in Chicago, IL to two loving parents Albert Garcia and Virginia Medina. Theresa completed the 8th Grade and made the decision to start working at an early age to help provide for her family. In Theresa’s early years she was a Security Guard for new construction developments. She was then blessed with children and decided to become a Homemaker, which she loved very much. She was extremely passionate about taking care of her family. She enjoyed being a Nana to the neighborhood children that she babysat throughout the years. Theresa would often spend countless hours cooking her favorite meals (Albondigas, Enchiladas, Menudo, Pozole or Tamales) and desserts (Cupcakes, Cakes and Donuts) which she loved to share with friends and family. Anyone who knew Theresa knew that she was most happy when she was spending time with her family and friends; whether it was outings for breakfast, lunch or dinner, trips to the Thrift Shops or days spent in Wisconsin Dells. In her spare time Theresa would be at the kitchen table, with a Crossword, Country Music playing in the background while her dogs slept at her side. The life she lived is not defined by her death but defined by the many memories she made through-out her life. Theresa is survived by her beloved family; children, Ramon L. Lozada, Mario R. Lozada, Joseph A. Guaderrama (Significant Other, Julie Kurt), Natalia (Albert) Garcia, Albert Jr. (Bobbi Jo) Garcia, Christopher (Significant Other, Amanda Green) Garcia, David (Carmin) Garcia and her 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters, many extended family members and special friends; Maria, Shaddia, Aisha and Jake and Manny and Makayla. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. Family and friends may visit with the family and pay their respects to Theresa on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 11-3:00 p.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin. A bilingual funeral service officiated by Pastor Jose Dominguiz will follow the visitation At 3:00 p.m. A private family interment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery
