Phyllis Mae Osheim

March 12, 1927 - April 9, 2022

Phyllis Mae Osheim, age 95, entered her Heavenly home on Saturday evening, April 9, 2022. She was born in Platteville, WI on March 12, 1927, the daughter of Francis and Bessie Mae Bartle. Phyllis was united in marriage to Leander Osheim on January 16, 1946. He preceded her in death in July of 2002. She was a devoted Christian, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her prayers and would read her prayer book in the evening before bed, always rejoicing in the Lord. Phyllis worked at different jobs throughout her life’s journey, but her biggest joy was her family. She beamed with pride when speaking of her three “handsome” sons and talking of her dear Leander and how she missed him so. Her niece, Bonnie was also her special friend, often shopping together, lunching, and just talking. Indeed, special times for them both. Phyllis leaves behind her son, Gary Osheim, his wife, Cheryl, and their children, Ryan (Shirley) and Sarah (Jim) Kossow; son, Ray Osheim, and his son, Nathan and his little daughter, Secelia; son, Ernie, and his wife, Brenda; other relatives and many friends. Proceeding her in death besides her dear Leander was her parents, Francis, and Bessie; sister and best friend, Marie; siblings, Connie, Lyle, and Rose; daughters-in-law, Cheryl Nigbor Osheim and Corrine Franklin Osheim; and other relatives and friends. Though we will miss her and remember her always, we know the heavens are shining brighter with her love. Rest in Peace Mom. The family of Phyllis would like to extend a big thank you to the nurses and caregivers at Copperleaf in Ripon, we know she loved you all! And thank you to the nursing care at ThedaCare Berlin and the Hospice caregivers as well. Well done! Family and friends may visit with the family and pay their respects to Phyllis on Monday, April 18, 2022, from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin and also on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 9-11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Fairburn. A funeral service will follow visitation at the church at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Gregory Sluke. Burial will follow services at Oakwood Cemetery of Berlin.
