Mrs. Mary Rae Kolpin

July 22, 2014 - July 23, 2014

Mary Rae (Brooks) Kolpin of Berlin, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 23rd 2014. She was born on July 22nd, 1953 in Nekoosa, WI to Mary Lou (Voss) and Raymond Brooks. She graduated from Berlin High School in 1971. She has been a long time member of All Saints Church Catholic Parish of Berlin (Saint Stanislaus). Mary married Thomas Kolpin on November 16th, 1973 at Saint Stanislaus in Berlin WI. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. She also enjoyed making crafts, woodworking with her husband, antiquing, going rummage sale shopping and most of all spending quality time with her husband and her 5 children and 8 grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Thomas of 40 years, her 5 children, Martha Rae Kolpin (Jeff) of Redgranite, Joshua Thomas Kolpin (Jeanna) of Berlin, Hannah Rae (Ed) Patroelj of Neenah, Amelia Rae (Jason) McDowell of Berlin, and Rebekah Rae Kolpin of Berlin, Eight grandchildren; Kasandra, Xander and Bella McDowell and Abigail, Brady, Cainan, Jayda Jo and Julia Rose Kolpin, her sisters, JoAnne (Brooks) Calabresa of Waunakee, Christine (Brooks) Mendleski of Madison, and her brothers, Dan Brooks of Madison, John Brooks of everywhere, and her brother and sister in law, Art (Sue) Kolpin of North Carolina, also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Mary also had some wonderful close friends that were very special people in her life and were there with her on her last few days surrounding her with love and support; Juanita Kasuboski, Kris Novak, Sue Tracy, and Sandy Gregor. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Mary Lou Brooks. A Funeral service with the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday July 31, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church of Berlin with the Rev. Daniel Viertel officiating. Immediately following the services at church all are invited to the Berlin V.F.W. Hall for fellowship and luncheon with the family. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday July 30, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of downtown Berlin with a Parish Rosary to be recited at 6:45 by Rev. David Greenfield, and may also call at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. before we leave for the services at the church.
