Linda Ann Appollo

Linda Ann Appollo, loving mother, wife, sister, daughter, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2023, at the age of 64 at her home in Berlin, WI, surrounded by family, Linda was born on February 23, 1959. She grew up in Neshkoro, WI and attended Westfield High School, She lived in Berlin all of her adult life. She worked at Berlin Memorial Hospital/ThedaCare Berlin for 40 years as a nurse and had recently retired in August, She loved to spend time with her friends and family, and always brought excitement to get-togethers. Linda loved to bake and was also an excellent cook, she often brought goodies to various outings, which were enjoyed by many and made many delicious meals for friends and family. She loved to travel the world and was able to complete her bucket list with a trip to Machu Picchu with her sister. Linda loved to golf and enjoyed many golfing trips and sunny days on the course with her friends. She also bowled in Berlin and made many special memories bowling in various leagues over the years. She will be dearly missed by her husband, James Appollo; daughters, Melissa {Cal) Greening, and Andrea {Kurt) Hoier; stepchildren, Jamie Grism and Jeremy (Lani) Appollo; sister, Laurie (Bob) Ferg; brother, Fred (Phyliss) Brudnowski; brother, John Brudnowski; grandchildren, Emily (Kevin), Alexa (Brandon), Carter, Matt (Alyssa), Levi and Noah, and step-grandchildren, Michael, Alex, Oliver, and Bradyn, She is also survived by countless dear friends. Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene Brudnowski, and father, Eugene Brudnowski. She was very active and healthy until a recent diagnosis with extensive metastatic cancer. She was very grateful to be able to stay in her home with the support of her family, and felt she had lived a very full life and had no regrets. In her last few weeks, Linda was at peace with God's plan for her, and often stated "it is what it is" and "all good things must come to an end." Linda and her family would like to thank all of the wonderful friends and family for the thoughts, prayers, cards, flowers, and visits. All your love and support is greatly appreciated. We would also like to thank Dr. Eric Stanelle for the care he provided during Linda's illness. Due to scheduling conflicts, please take note to the special times and places for services. Family and friends may visit with the family on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. and on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 11:00 until 1:00 p.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the Friday visitation at 11:00 a.m. with Father John Silva officiating. A lunch and a time for sharing will follow the Friday mass in the Parish Hall. Inurnment will follow the Saturday visitation at 1:30 p.m., at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery of Berlin.
