Kristin Nordquist
February 6, 1960 - February 8, 2022
Heaven gained another great soul! Kristin L. Nordquist slipped away peacefully in her sleep Sunday February 6, 2022. Her legacy began May 31, 1960 in Beloit, WI with her mother and father, Louise and Glen Nordquist. Being the second child in the family, her strive to succeed was her excellence. Growing up alongside her brother Erik, she blossomed her love for art and developed a people personality that would carry on throughout her life. In 1978 she decided that a “one up” was in order and joined The Marine Corp. As a heavy diesel mechanic in the Corp, she learned how to kick butt and get the job done right the first time, a mindset that carried with her for life. In 1982, she gave birth to a son and that was her push to further her education. In 1987 she graduated Blackhawk Technical College in Beloit with a bachelor’s in robotics and simultaneously began a long career with Wisconsin Power & Light/ Alliant Energies. Following a job transfer in 88, she moved to Berlin with her son and began to make a name for herself around town. Being the only female service-tech in the HVAC industry, everyone grew to love her for her quick wit, good humor, warm heart and excellent service. As an only parent, she did the very best she could for a growing boy to become a decent human and a good man. As a grandma, she was everything fun a kid could want, a healthy dose of common sense, respect and mechanical engagement along the way. To all that know her, she is a character. For all that love her, a force never forgotten. Kristin is survived by her son, Mike Nordquist; granddaughter, Alexandria; grandsons, Jamason and Colin Nordquist; sisters, Ellen Reece, Kathy Fewell, Julia Saunders and Regina Risney; nephews, Jerrod Obrien, Mark and Steve Harper and Larry Nevel Jr.; nieces, Kelly Obrien, Lisa Blum, Angela Saunders; and cousins, Richard Nordquist and Kathy Nordquist. She is proceeded in death by, granddaughter, Kaylee Nordquist; mother and father, louis Johnson and Glen and Iva Nordquist; brother, Roger Fewell; sister, Karen; nieces, Tricket and Jennifer; aunt, Merrit Nordquist; and Uncle, Ernest Nordquist. Family and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 12-4:00 p.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home. Military Honors will be presented at 1:00 p.m. by the Wells-Krause VFW Post # 2952 of Berlin.
