Mr. James Moldenhauer

January 6, 1934 - November 4, 2016

James L. Moldenhauer, age 82, of Berlin, WI. passed away peacefully at the Veteran’s Home in King, WI on Friday morning November 4, 2016, where he has resided for the last year. He was born January 6, 1934 in Saxeville, WI, the son of Donald and Evelyn (Sorenson) Moldenhauer. He married Patricia (Pat) Polsin on November 10, 1956 at Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church of Berlin. Jim and Pat had lived in California for a while before moving back to Berlin in 1973. Jim attended many schools before entering the Air Force in 1956, where he served his country as a weapons mechanic until being discharged in 1961. Jim worked at many different factory jobs throughout his life before retiring in 1996, his last being with the Square D Company of Oshkosh, WI. Survivors include two children; Denise (Doug) Steuck of Wautoma, and Kenneth (Nancy) Moldenhauer of Berlin, also five grandchildren, Crystal (Jim) Buhrow of Waupaca, Rebecca Koscher (fiancé Aaron Parker) of Wild Rose, Stephanie Koscher of Berlin, Mitchell Moldenhauer of Oshkosh and Cassandra Moldenhauer of Berlin. Step-grandchildren; Casey (Paul) Brown, and Jayson (Briana) Steuck of Wautoma, and 5 great grandchildren, Jim is also survived by one sister Kay (Richard) Duerr of Berlin, also survived by many nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Pat, sons Nicholas and Kurt, father and mother Donald and Evelyn, a brother Raymond, and an infant son and an infant daughter. Jim loved the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, golfing five days a week, and especially loved the sport of Archery Golf, he was a past board and active member of the North Fond du Lac Archery Club, Inc in Mount Morris, WI. He loved to make sure that the course was mowed at all times for everyone to enjoy the sport, you could always find him there on his favorite lawnmower the orange Ingersoll. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday November 10, 2016 from 11am to 1 pm at the Wiecki-Skipchak Berlin Funeral Home with a service to follow at 1p.m. and the Rev. Wayne Schwanke will be officiating and burial will follow with full military honors provided by the Berlin V.F.W. Honor Guard at the Saint Stanislaus Cemetery of Berlin.
