Easton Thom

Easton Thom, age 11, of Berlin passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022. Easton was a smart, handsome, charismatic, energetic, and oh so talented boy. He left an imprint on everyone he met with his wit and big smile. He could always make people laugh by his goofiness. Easton played pretty much every sport and excelled at all of them. You could see him many summer nights throwing and practice hitting baseballs with his dad. His mom and him would spend so many hours throwing a football. There wasn’t a ball he couldn’t catch. He challenged himself and worked so hard so he could be the best at everything. Easton also loved to watch the NFL and had so many players he admired. His dream was to play for the NFL someday. His favorite team was the Kansas City Chief’s and favorite player Patrick Mahomes. He wanted to be a receiver like Justin Jefferson and could do the “Griddy” like nobody’s business! He loved the outdoors, just like his dad. Fishing and hunting were a major part of his life. His goal was to catch the biggest fish and harvest the biggest buck. He could out fish his dad, grandma, and grandpa anytime. Easton and his dad enjoyed looking at their trail cam pictures together and pick which one was theirs to get. The biggest buck he ever got was bow hunting this year, a 12 pointer. He was excited to have gotten such a big deer. Easton’s summers were filled with baseball, swimming, and camping. He loved to go camping and meet new people and swim all day. Easton was such a good brother to his little sisters. He enjoyed going for bike rides, or rollerblade rides with them. In the summer, he would play football or basketball at the house 2 on 2. Easton and his mom would never be on the same team, to make it fair, but Easton’s team always won! He always looked out for his sisters and loved them so much. His sisters miss him very much. Easton was an awesome son. We were so proud of him and all of his accomplishments. Even at 11 years young, he was so mature. He was his moms and dad’s best friend. Easton left huge holes in our hearts and was an all-around all star and missed so much by all. He is survived by his parents, Randi and Stacey Thom; twin sisters, Stella and Sofia Thom; paternal grandparents, Mike and Bonnie Thom; paternal great-grandmas, Alice Bazeley and Evelyn Thom; maternal grandparents Bob Johnson (Kris), Patty Johnson (Lee) and Marge Johnson, maternal great-grandma, Marie Johnson; aunt Netti, uncle Ryan, cousins, Noah and Ava Macario; aunt Nikki, uncle Kenny, cousins, Quinten and Newten Cherek; godmother, Nikki Cherek, godfather, Jacob Trochinski, his much loved pet dog Molly, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Family and friends may meet with the family and pay their respects to Easton on Thursday December 1, 2022, from 3-7:00 p.m. and on Friday December 2, 2022, from 9-11:30 a.m.at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Catholic Parish following the Friday visitation at 12:00 p.m. officiated by Father John Silva.
