Earl Erwin Pinkall, age 93, of the Town of Berlin, died under the care of hospice at the Theda-Care Hospital of Berlin on Tuesday August 27, 2019. Earl Erwin Pinkall, age 93, of the Town of Berlin, died under the care of hospice at the Theda-Care Hospital of Berlin on Tuesday August 27, 2019. Earl was born on September 28, 1925 in Chicago the son of Erwin C. and Sylvia M. (Pitlik) Pinkall. He graduated from the Morton High School and Junior College of Cicero, Ill. He served his country in the U.S. Navy in WWII being in the American Theatre South Pacific, receiving the Good Conduct Medal and also served as a Navy Mail Clerk. He married Elisabeth (Beth) (Druggish) in 1952 at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church of Berlin and she preceded him in death on September 29, 1996. Earl then married Judith A. (Markofski) Klemp on November 7, 1998 in Seymour, Wi. He was a self-employed, Farmer and was an Auctioneer with John Steeps and a retired agent for the Farm Bureau Insurance Co., he loved flying and was a licensed pilot, also played Clarinet, Sax and Trumpet in the VFW band of Oshkosh, Rainbow Valley Band and Bartow Adult Concert Band of Fort Meade, Florida, where he and Judy spent their winters. He also served on the Green Lake County Board and the Tri-County Commission on aging for many years. Earl was a faithful longtime member of the All Saints Catholic Parish of Berlin (Saint Michael’s), the Berlin Lions Club, American Legion Post 340, Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 2925, the Nepeuskun Anti Horse Thieves Association, American Federation of Musicians, VFW band of Oshkosh since 1947 and a past member of the Rainbow Valley Dutchman Polka Band, Ripon Harmony Kings and the Barbershop Chorus. He is survived by his beloved wife Judy, two daughters, Patricia Sylvia Pinkall-Pollei of Edgerton,WI and Pamela Gertrude Pinkall of Memphis, TN, grandson, Richard Earl Pinkall-Pollei (fiancée, Angela Ghaly) of Madison, also Judy’s children, Darrell, David, Debra, Doug and Deanna and grandchildren and great grandchildren, also other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Elisabeth (Beth) and a brother, Eugene. A memorial has been established to the paralyzed and disabled American Veterans in his memory.
