David Arthur Richmond

November 16, 1929 - August 6, 2021

David Arthur Richmond, age 91 of Berlin WI passed away on Friday August 6th surrounded by his family, at Patriot Place. David was born on Saturday November 16th 1929 in Stevens Point WI to parents Harold and Anna (Lucht) Richmond. In 1947 he graduated from PJ Jacobs High School in Stevens Point WI. He attended the University of Wisconsin Whitewater and graduated in 1953 with a business degree. In college he served four years in the National Guard. He earned a masters degree in business from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1969. David married Janice Ann Fuller on August 11th, 1956 in Rudolph WI. His first teaching job was Rudolph High School in Rudolph WI. He then taught business at Tigerton High School for three years and then moved his family to Berlin and passionately taught business at Berlin High School for 29 years. He equipped many students, including his future wife Janice, with a valuable life skill, keyboarding (typing). He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Janice Ann Richmond; his children and their children, Robin Jachthuber (Dennis Page) of Montello WI, Ryan (Supaporn), Erin (Luke), Eric (Melissa), Megan (Greg), Jake (Amanda); Crystal (Steve) Lien of Atlanta GA, Duncan (Ozge) and Fiona (Matt); Kevin (Sandra Ramawy) Richmond of Memphis TN, Sari and Kirana; and Kelly (Philip) Latreille of St. Louis MO, JP and Mark; brother, Vernon Richmond. David is further survived by 16 nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. David was preceded in death by his son, Mark Allen Richmond on May 1, 1999, of San Francisco, CA; his parents; brothers, Fredrick, Harry; sister, Doris Stiebs; sisters-in-law, Alice Richmond and Dolores Richmond; brother-in-law, Earl Stiebs; and Janice’s parents, Clyde and Genieve Fuller. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, traveling and spending time with his family especially his 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan from high school to professional. He loved recalling statistics especially from his favorite sports teams, the Badgers, Brewers and the Packers. Family and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 9-10:45 a.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held following visitation at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Parish of Berlin, officiated by Father Anthony Thirumalareddy. All are invited to a luncheon and a time for sharing in the Parish Hall following the service. Inurnment at All Souls Catholic Cemetery of Rudolph will be held at a later date.
