October 25, 1954 - October 25, 2020
David (Dudley) Allan Czeskleba, age 66, of Borth, WI, passed away unexpectedly at his home October 25, 2020. David battled heart problems for several years prior to his passing. He was born October 15, 1954 in Madison, WI to the late Donald and Darlene (Bloede) Czeskleba of Wild Rose, WI. David was a 1972 graduate of Wild Rose High School. In 1974, David joined the US Air Force where he proudly served as a Security Specialist. He was stationed at Grand Forks Air Force Base, ND until he was honorably discharged and went home to pursue his civilian career. For a short time, David was a bouncer at the Red Fox in Wild Rose, WI then started his career at Neenah Foundry where he was nicknamed “Blackie” due to only wearing black shirts. David worked at Neenah Foundry for close to 45 years before retiring on his 62nd birthday, October 15, 2016. David was a charismatic and very outgoing individual who could light up a room with his infectious smile, dimples, dark curly hair, and one-of-a-kind giggle. He enjoyed socializing, having drinks and playing cards with family and friends. David was a joy to be around. He had a great sense of humor, a kind heart, and always made it a point to be present in his family’s lives. Family was everything to David. He adored his daughters, grandchildren, and his brothers meant the world to him along with his beloved Labrador Retriever, Blackbird, which was gifted to him on his birthday in the 1980’s and forever held a place in his heart. David’s upbringing at the Wild Rose Fish Hatchery led to his love of hunting and fishing. He often enjoyed shooting clay pigeons with his brothers and goose hunting with his Uncles as well as deer, duck, and turkey hunting, trapping muskrat, raccoon or the occasional mink, ice fishing, and spending time out on his boat. David always looked forward to his annual week-long fishing trip, every May, to Minnesota with friends. He belonged to the Poygan Conservation Club in Omro, WI. David took great pride in the many Harley-Davidson motorcycles he owned throughout his life. He loved the wind blowing through his hair on the open road and he rarely passed up an opportunity for a motorcycle trip with family or friends. Most recently, David rode to La Crosse, WI with his cousin. David’s family is incredibly heartbroken by his passing. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed by many.
