Beverly A. Chipman, age 87, of Berlin, died at home with family by her side on Thursday, February 11, 2021. She was born in Connecticut on November 22, 1933, the daughter of Ray and Frances Hearns. She married her soulmate, Albion Chipman on June 24, 1950 in Yuma, Arizona and renewed that sacred vow in front of family and friends on their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Beverly spent her life being a strong nurturing wife, raising her children, and enjoying her grandchildren. She could often be found working in her yard and “deep deck sitting” in the warm months, rooting for the Packers, or curled up with her favorite book in the winter months. With her words of wisdom, endless patience, and loving heart, she was the rock of the family and will be dearly missed by all. She is survived by her 4 children, Paula (Tim) Butler of Madison Indiana, Vanessa Chipman of Berlin, Albion Chipman Jr. of Plainfield, Illinois and Samantha Chipman of Berlin. She is further survived by 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, longtime family member, Bill Portalski, her “Sweet Willy”, many other relatives and friends. Beverly was preceeded in death by her parents; her beloved husband; and oldest daughter, Tina Portalski. Family and friends may visit with the family and pay their respects to Beverly on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin. Burial will follow after the visitation at Oakwood cemetery. Family and friends are reminded of the CDC’s Covid-19 guidelines for funerals. Masks are required for funeral home, please respect social distancing, and please sit with family members only.
