Barbara (Witzke) Stahoviak Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Barbara L. (Witzke) Stahoviak, age 66, passed away peacefully on February 8th, 2022 as a result of early onset Alzheimer’s Disease with her family by her side. Barb was born January 26, 1956, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Her early years were spent in Oshkosh. Barb’s family owned Tomorrow Wood Campground in Hancock, WI. Barb graduated from Tri-County high school in 1974. She then had Lacey and Lenny and then met her soulmate Greg, with that gaining Jamie as a child. Barb and Greg lived in Berlin for many happy years, raising Lacey, Lenny, and Jamie. Barb and Greg spent most of their time together in Berlin. Barb held various jobs in Wisconsin Rapids, Ripon, Berlin, Green Lake, and Oshkosh. Barb ended her career after many years at Oshkosh Truck. Of all her jobs, Barb was especially proud of earning her Real Estate license, working for Century 21 in Green Lake. Barb spent her time collecting and refurbishing antiques and other odds and ends. She was a saver of many things. Barb spent a lot of quality time with her family. This included spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards and other games, camping, maintaining a variety of plants. Barb was a very social person and could hold a conversation with anyone, one of the favorite things she did was going to sign in at Bucky’s with Greg. Barb’s love for small children and animals was so great that she would often stop in her tracks to talk to small children and/or animals that crossed her path. Barb is survived by her children, Lacey (Cory) Hobbs, Leonard Palek III, and Jamie Stahoviak; grandchildren, Tony Stahoviak, Logan and Paige Hobbs; father, Henry Witzke; siblings, Sandy Witzke, Kathy (Maria) Parker-Witzke, Will (June) Witzke, Roxy (Mike Dvorak) Witzke; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other extended family and friends. Barb was preceded in death by her husband Greg Stahoviak; and mother, Patricia Witzke. Barb and Greg are celebrating their reunion in their eternal home. Special thanks to the staff at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center in Menasha, WI, and Heartland Hospice in providing excellent personalized care during her last months. Family and friends may visit with the family on Thursday, February 17, 2022, from 1-4:30 p.m. A memorial service will follow visitation at the funeral home at 4:30 p.m.
