Robert Krause

Robert (Bob) C. Krause, age 89 of Berlin, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 15, 2017 at his home, the Patriot Place of Berlin. He was born on February 21st, 1928 in Berlin, Wisconsin. Robert graduated from Berlin High School in 1945. Shortly after graduation, Robert enlisted in the United States Army and served in World War II. Robert met the love of his life, Eleanor (Yeska) Krause of Wild Rose. They were united in marriage on May 27, 1950, at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church of Heffron, and spent 66 wonderful years together. Robert took great pride in his work. Whether it was mechanic, later owner of his Dad’s Buick dealership in Berlin, Public Works Superintendent for the City of Berlin, or as County Board Supervisor for the County of Green Lake, he believed in serving his community and doing his best to make it beautiful. In retirement and in his free time, he and Eleanor continued to care for their family and others in need. Bob and Eleanor spent time at their cottage on Pearl Lake, enjoyed Sunday car rides to Wild Rose to visit Eleanor’s family, and took great pride in watching their grandchildren in various athletic and academic events through the Berlin School District. A car ride with Bob was never complete until a stop for an ice cream cone was made! It was the simple things in life that made Bob the happiest. Bob was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His family and their well-being were always his first priority. As a long-time member of All Saints Catholic Parish of Berlin, Robert’s faith was very important to him. Robert leaves behind and is survived by his son, Paul Krause of Berlin, and his daughter, Stephanie Krause of Fond Du Lac, grandchildren, Magan (Mani) Umar of Massapequa, N.Y., A.J. (Kathy) Krause of Virginia Beach, VA., and Courtney (Bryan) Donati of Dayton, Ohio, his great-grandchildren, Nile, Lyla and Haris Umar; Stella and Willow Krause and Elleanor Donati. Robert also leaves behind a very loving family of in-laws, Richard (Joanne) Yeska of Wild Rose, Eileen (Gary) Hudziak, Marge (Lenny) Lesniak, both of Wild Rose and Lorraine Markowski of Appleton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Conrad and Barbara (Rossman) Krause, his sister Helen Purtell Krause, his dear wife, Eleanor Krause and his son, Conrad Krause. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, September 22nd, 2017, at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin from 8:30-10:30 a.m. A funeral mass will be held after the visitation at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Parish of Berlin with Father David Greenfield
