Norman Becker

Norman Arthur Becker, 86 was called to his heavenly home on October 7, 2025 following a brief stay at Juliette Manor in Berlin He was born on June 5, 1939, at home in the town of Seneca to Eric and Louise (Krause) Becker. Baptized and confirmed into faith at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Fairburn where he was a lifelong member. On October 24, 1959, he married Julianna Harke at Zion Lutheran Church, Neshkoro. He attended Rabbitt School and Berlin High School. Early in his working days, he was a truck driver for Caves of Wild Rose. He briefly worked at Bemis, Sheboygan Falls for a short time before returning to Berlin to haul milk and took over the family farm where he was raised. He spent his lifetime doing what he loved, farming and raising his family. Norman served as treasurer and secretary on the church council for many years and was previously a board member in the Town of Seneca. He was fun loving, and had a ready quick wit for all. He enjoyed activities such as hunting, fishing, and dancing to polka music, which played throughout the house on Saturdays. He loved to travel to “explore God’s creation” and introduced his many grandkids to favorite places. Norman leaves behind his wife, Julie of 65 years; son, Douglas; daughters Deborah (Jack) Stobbe, Brenda (Michael) Murkley, and Amy (Robert) Radliff all of Berlin; sister, Carolyn Brzeziniski of Fond du Lac; and grandchildren, Emily (Jerry) Schierland, Luke (Jordan) Stobbe, Andrew (Samantha) Stobbe, Josephine (Jerrad) Voigt, Rebecca (David) Marburger, Matthew (Jaclyn) Murkley, Amanda (Shane) Williams, Susan (David) Valko, Stephanie Schackow, Rachel (Joel) Kalata and Brent Radliff. He is further survived by 24 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jane (Rob) Butz; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Michael; sisters, Dorthy Stowell-Lambert, Lona Boy, Margaret Andersen, Arlene Baker; brothers, Donald, Robert and Gerald. Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter and Irmgard Harke; sister-in-law, June Kitchen-Pomplun; other family members and friends. Family and friends may visit with the family and pay their respects to Norman on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 9-11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Fairburn. A funeral service will follow visitation at the church at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Gregory Sluke officiating. Burial will be held in the church cemetery with a luncheon to follow in the church family center. In place of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
