Mary "Nancy" Gohlke

Mary "Nancy" Gohlke age 79 of Wautoma passed away on Friday afternoon January 28, 2022. Nancy was born on April 8, 1942, in the town of Seneca, the daughter of Omer Francis Wicks and Mary Clara (Strebelinski) Wicks. Nancy graduated from Berlin High School in 1960. She married William Bill Gohlke on September 14,1963 at St Michael's Catholic Church in Berlin and they resided in Oshkosh until retirement. After retirement Nancy and Bill sold their home in Oshkosh and built a new home on Silver Lake in Wautoma. Nancy worked at Realist Inc. in Berlin, OshKosh B'gosh in Oshkosh, and standard Colsman in Oshkosh. Nancy then became a beautician until retirement. Nancy worked as a beautician for Regis in Oshkosh, silver shears in Oshkosh, independent Beauty in Oshkosh, Shear perfection in Oshkosh, and after retirement occasionally at DeWood St Shoppe in Redgranite. Nancy also enjoyed helping out her good friend Mary Graf at the Christmas shop every now and then. Nancy is survived by two sons, Scott William (Debbie) Gohlke of Ripon and Todd Lee (Molly) Gohlke of Oshkosh; and one daughter, Dawn Marie (Michael) Arndt of Neshkoro; six grandchildren, Cole William (Allison) Gohlke, Cody Scott (fiance Brittany) Gohlke, Bridger Michael (fiance Darian) Arndt, Wyatt William Arndt (girlfriend Malerie), Krystal Kay Kasuboski and Lexi Rebee Kasuboski; and one very precious great-grand daughter. Paisley Marie Gohlke. Nancy is further survived by other relatives and many friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband, William "Bill" Gohlke of 56 years; her parents, Omer and Mary Wickes, sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis "Audrey" and Eugene Klimke; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Amanda and Clarence Gohlke; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janet and John Piller Jr.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marvin "Jake" and Shirley Gohlke; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Elda and Lester Soyk; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Evelyn "Babe" and Charles "Red" Button; brother-in-law, Gareth "Chief" Christian; brother-in-law, Charles "Chuck" Angell; and cousin (best friend) and cousin-in-law, Louise and Russ Luethe. Nancy enjoyed having her family visit. She was happiest when her house was full with her children, grandchildren, great-granddaughter nieces and nephews, and friends. Her life centered around her family she enjoyed many outdoor activities with them like camping, boating, snowmobiling and going to the Hodag Festival. Nancy loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events she also enjoyed bowling and going to the casino with friends. Friends and family may call at Wiecki Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin and pay their respects to Nancy and her family on Thursday February 3 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow visitation at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A meal and celebration of life will be held immediately after service at Hoot'Nannys in Berlin. Private family entombment will be held at Lake View Memorial Park of Oshkosh at a later date. The family wishes to thank Waushara County EMS, Thedacare Berlin, Thedacare Appleton and Thedacare at Home Hospice for the care and compassion they provided to Nancy.
