Mr. Leonard P. Reetz

Leonard P. Reetz, age 88, of Berlin, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 5th, 2015 at the Berlin Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 23rd, 1926 in Green Lake County, the Son of Frank and Hulda Hunt (Reetz). He served in the U.S. Army, Military of the 45th Division, 700th Ordnance Military Specialty branch in the Korean War from 09/25/1950 – 09/08/1952. On April 14th, 1953, he was united in marriage to Lucille Chappa at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Redgranite, WI. He dedicated his life to family, the Catholic Faith and farming on the Reetz family farm in the Town of Seneca, until he retired in 1992. Leonard enjoyed working with his hands crafting wood projects, watching for and hunting deer and squirrels, and taking care of his wild bird friends. He is survived by Lucille Reetz, his beloved wife of sixty-one years – his four children – Son Ronald (Cheryl) Reetz – Daughters Linda (Ken) Seaman, Pamela (Chris) Klettke and Kathryn (Dan) Beier. Grand Children Jennifer (Corey) Klettke, Stephanie Handrich, Katelyn Klettke, Megan Reetz, Brittany Reetz, Charles Beier, and Kari (Justin) Clark and his Great Grand Children, Jessica Klettke, Isabella Klettke, Garrett, Meredith and Evelyn Clark. Leonard is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, three sisters and their husbands. Father-in-law Harry Chappa, Mother-in-law Theresa Tetzlaff (Chappa). A Funeral Service with the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday January 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the All Saints Catholic Church of Berlin with the Father David Greenfield officiating and Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Oakwood Cemetery of Berlin. Relatives and friends visited with the family on Saturday January 10, 2015 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Wiecki –Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin, WI before we leave for the services at the All Saints Catholic Church in Berlin, WI.
