Karen Bentilla-Williams

Karen Bentilla-Williams, age 73, of Berlin, has been called home to our Heavenly Father. She passed away peacefully at home on March 24th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Karen was a devoted wife and loving mother and one of the hardest-working women anyone knew. She had a deep love for her gardens, cooking, hunting, and her beloved dogs. She enjoyed spending time with her loving husband showing their prize winning German Short Hairs. They enjoyed traveling and spending time together, not once in their 25 years of marriage did, they have a disagreement. Karen found sweet happiness in the simple things in life. Karen was full of life and always on the lookout for fun! She loved playing cards and games, starting with when her boys were little, and shared that same fun with her grandchildren as they grew up. One of her favorite ways to have a good time was getting together with her “girls” for card club nights. Those evenings were filled with late, loud laughter, and good times, creating unforgettable memories she fondly talked about. Karen was a devoted employee of Alliance Laundry (Speed Queen) for three decades, pouring her heart and soul into her work. In 2016, she faced the unimaginable challenge of being diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease. Despite this devastating news, Karen remained strong and loving as she battled the disease for over a decade. Throughout this time, her husband provided her with loving care at home, ensuring she felt surrounded by family during every important event. Even in her final days, Karen’s spirit shone through with her smile, a symbol of her unwavering love for her family. She was an incredible wife and mother, always prioritizing her family above all else, and her legacy of love will forever remain in the hearts of those she cherished. She is survived by parents, Arlon and Glenda Otto; her beloved husband, Wayne Williams; children, Nathan (Holly) Bentilla, Stephen Bentilla (Jessica Sedarski and daughter Jenna), Heather (Dave) Steger, and Jay (Kay) Williams; grandchildren, Kayla (Branden) Drews, Kyle Bentilla, Dylan Malueg, Kurtis Malueg, James Wroblewski, Lane Williams, Mallary Williams and Leroy Williams; great-grandchild Arthur Drews; siblings, Tina (Jeff) Zodrow, Sue Mlodzik, and Mike (Jayne) Otto. As well as many nieces, nephews’ other relatives and many friends. Karen will forever be remembered as a wonderful wife, an incredible mother, best friend to her siblings, and a daughter with a heart of gold, her love touched everyone around her. Family and friends may visit with the family and pay their respects to Karen on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 9-11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church of Princeton. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Philip Schupmann. A luncheon and a time for sharing will follow the service. Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Welsh Cemetery in Berlin.
