Mrs. Jeanette M. Stemler

Stemler, Jeanette M. Jeanette M. Stemler, (nee Neubauer) age 91, of Berlin, passed away peacefully with her family with her on Friday morning September 12, 2014 at the Brown-Wilcox Assisted living Facility in Berlin. She was born on August 19, 1923 in the Town of Nepeuskun, Winnebago County, the daughter of Ernest Emil and Lina Mae (Crump) Neubauer. Jeanette grew up on the family farm west of Berlin, in the Town of Warren. She attended the Clover view Grade School and graduated from the Berlin High School with the class of 1941. She married Leonard Stemler on June 6, 1950 in Green Lake and he preceded her in death on July 15, 1978. She had worked at various jobs for many businesses all of Berlin during her lifetime, retiring in 1991. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and loved to watch the Brewers and Packers play. Jeanette is a faithful member of the United Methodist Church of Berlin. She is survived by her sons, Gerald (Cheryl) Lapene of Berlin and Michael (Shirley) Stemler of Hubbell, Michigan, also survived by her grandchildren, Amy (Robert) Kidd, Robert Evans, Michele (Michael) St. Louis, Craig Lapene, Tyler Stemler and Lyanne Stemler, her great grandchildren, Jacob, Marina and Cheyanne St Louis, also Caitlin, Zachary and Braden Kidd, and a loving and caring niece, Bonnie (Dennis) Williams of Spring Lake, and her close and special friends from Brown-Wilcox , along with nieces, nephews and many other friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leonard Stemler, daughter, Shirley Gussert, sisters, Beverly Malson and Donna Rivers, and an infant brother, Reid Neubauer. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday September 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of downtown Berlin with the Pastor Aaron Alfred officiating and a catered dinner will follow the service in the Funeral Homes Handicap Accessible Family Center. The burial and committal will follow the dinner and will be at 1:30 at the Oakwood Cemetery in the City of Berlin Relatives and friends may visit with the family and pay their respects to Jeanette on Wednesday September 17, 2014 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home, just prior to the service.
