Helen Drover

On Friday, February 19th, our beautiful mother, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great grandma made the journey home and was welcomed into heaven by our glorious Lord. Helen (Sedarski) Drover, age 101, of Berlin, WI, passed away peacefully at Juliette Manor. Helen was born December 16, 1919, in Berlin, WI, to Michael and Helen Sedarski. She was a 1936 graduate of Berlin High School. After graduation, Helen worked at Handcraft in Princeton, WI and later was also a supervisor at Wilson Hurd working for many years until her retirement. Helen married Louis Drover on February 24, 1940. Together they raised eight children on the family farm, west of Berlin. Helen enjoyed traveling, especially to Alaska, playing cards, gambling, a good ole' fashion, but most of all, she loved spending time with her beautiful family. She was a woman of great faith and passed this along to all her family members. Daily prayers and a rosary were a special part of her life. She was a member of All Saints Parish. She loved to tell all that "prayers are the best medicine". Helen is survived by her children, Ron (Sharon) Drover-Alaska, David (Peggy) Drover, Donna (Dick) Sobieski, Robert (Lori) Drover, Joe Drover, Donald (Mary) Drover, all of Berlin, 22 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and many friends. Helen will be dearly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis; beloved sons, Billy and Pat; grandson, Bradley; daughters-in-law, Norelle and Patsy; four sisters; and one brother. Visitation for Helen will be on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin, from 9:00-10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen will be held following the visitation at 11:00 am at All Saints Paris of Berlin, with Father David Greenfield officiating. The family would like to give a special thank you to granddaughter Diane Klika, whom took such great care of grandma. They would also like to thank the entire staff at Juliette Manor, Patriot Place, and Agnesian Hospice for the care and compassion provided to Helen.
