Mrs. Dolores E. Schommer

Dolores E. (Krause) Schommer, Age 82, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Hospice Home of Hope of Fond du Lac, WI. She was born in Berlin the daughter of Walter and Lillian (Doro) Krause. She married James E. Schommer, October 4, 1952 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and they had four children. Dolores loved doing things with her family, throwing parties, camping, playing cards and games. She worked at Ludwig’s Bakery in Berlin until a fire closed the business. Dolores then worked at MacGregor Sand Knit until her retirement and then worked at Ripon Jacket part-time until she was unable to do so. She was a faithful member of the All Saints Catholic Parish of Berlin, and a member of the Ladies Sodality (CCW). Dolores was preceded in death by her husband James, parents, brother, Eugene Krause, brother-in-law, Donald Plato, grandparents, uncles and aunts. She is survived by her four children, Jeffrey (Mary) Schommer, Green Bay, WI; Michael (Roberta) Schommer, Lake Forest, IL; Ann Schommer, Berlin, WI; Susan (Bruce) Rogers, Jackson, WI; four grandchildren, Brent Schommer, Green Bay, WI; Shawna Schommer, Green Bay, WI; Gregory Rogers, Littleton, CO; Melissa (Tyler) Fochs, West Bend, WI; and two great-grandchildren, Jayden Sonnenberg, Green Bay, WI and Kaleigh Fochs, West Bend, WI; brother Norbert (Faye) Krause, Berlin, WI and sister Audrey Plato, Appleton, WI and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Agnesian Home Hospice and all at Hospice Home of Hope for the wonderful care they gave our mother. A Funeral Service with the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday January 31, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the All Saints Catholic Church of Berlin with the Father David Greenfield officiating and burial will follow beside her beloved husband Jim, at the Saint Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery of Berlin. Relatives and friends may visit with the family and pay their respects to Dolores on Friday January 30, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of downtown Berlin with a Parish Rosary to be recited at 7:45 p.m., and may visit again on Saturday at the Funeral Home from 9 to 10 a.m., before we leave for the services at the church.
