David Lee Gregor

David Lee Gregor, age 74, of Berlin, died peacefully on Sunday January 3rd 2021 at his home surrounded with the love of his loving family. He was born to Peter and Bertha Gregor on September 10, 1946, and shared his birthday with his twin brother Donald. Dave graduated from Berlin High School in 1966. He was then drafted into the Vietnam War where he served his country honorably in the US Army from 1966-1968. He was wounded in combat and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal by the Department of Defense. He married in 1970 and had 3 sons, and was later divorced. Dave married the love of his life Jill A. Meyer on August 1, 1980. Dave and Jill were married 41 years and had 3 children together. Dave was a driller/blaster for the Operating Engineers. He was a Christian and was a cherished member of All Saints Catholic Parish of Berlin. In his free time he enjoyed nature being outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Dave also enjoyed traveling and making wonderful memories with his family. Dave is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Jill Gregor; children, Peter (Cassie) Gregor, Richard Gregor, Brian Gregor, Michelle (Steve) Parker, Matthew (Melanie) Gregor, and Jacob (Amanda) Gregor; brother-in-law, Jim (Becky) Meyer, and sisters-in-law, Jean Randall & Jackie (John) Foley. He is also survived by all his loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his twin brother, Donald Gregor; and sister, Celia Wilkum; nieces and nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Bertha Gregor; In-laws, Robert and Renata Meyer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Parish of Berlin with Father David Greenfield officiating. Burial with Full Military Honors will be performed by the Wells-Krause VFW Post #2925 of Berlin at Oakwood Cemetery of Berlin following services at the church. Family and friends may visit with the family and pay their respects to Dave on Friday, January 8, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. and also on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin. Family and friends are reminded of the CDC’s Covid-19 guidelines for funerals. Masks are required for both the church and funeral home, please respect social distancing, and please sit with family members only.
