Mrs. Alice B. Seeliger

Seeliger, Alice B. Alice B. Seeliger, age 81, of Berlin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning March 24, 2015 at the Patriot Place of Berlin, under the care of Heartland Hospice Care. Alice was born on October 31, 1933 in Princeton, Wisconsin to Art and Clara (Klawitter) Judas. Alice was the youngest of 3 girls. Alice loved to dress and celebrate her Halloween birthday and did so to the fullest every year. She received her education in the Princeton School system and graduated from Princeton High School in June of 1951. After high school she worked for the Hieston Sox factory. On October 22, 1955 Alice married Bill Seeliger at the Saint John Lutheran Church of Princeton and they were blessed with 58 years of marriage. After their wedding Alice and Bill moved to Berlin and Alice worked for the Nicolet Jewelry store for 15 years, until the owners retired. Soon after Alice started working at Goodrich Furniture as a bookkeeper. Alice worked faithfully for over 40 years for Goodrich Furniture and was a devoted and cherished employee of Goodrich's. Alice was an active member of Saint John Lutheran Church in Berlin, and served her Church in many ways on various committees. She also volunteered at the Berlin Memorial Hospital, was a member of the Berlin Historical Society and a volunteer and donor at TRI-CASA animal shelter. She was a cat and dog lover her entire life and throughout her many years of marriage she had many pets that she loved taking for walks around town. Alice loved bowling and did so for many years on different leagues. Antiques and crafts were also a part of her life. She and her good friend, Betty Freimark visited many antique stores throughout the state. Many fun times were had with her friend Mary Lou Brown. Alice was a caring and fun loving person. Alice is survived by her special Nephew Tom (Martha) Fisher of Madison, friend, Tricia Clasen-Prellwitz of Berlin, brothers in law, Allen Seeliger of Ripon and Ronald Seeliger of Princeton and sister in law, Betty Seeliger of Oshkosh, and many grand nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Seeliger on April 1, 2013, her parents, two sisters, Violet Fisher and Dorothy Daye, four brothers in law, James Fisher, Kenneth Seeliger, Dr. Melvin Seeliger and Billy Daye also three sisters in law, Rosella Seeliger, Shirley Seeliger and Adeline Seeliger, and by nephews, Mike & Jeffrey Daye and nieces, Becky Keipe and Judy Kruse. A funeral service will be held on Saturday March 28, 2015 at the St John Lutheran Church of Berlin at 11 a.m., with the Pastor Bryan Lundquist officiating and burial will follow beside her beloved husband Bill in the Oakwood Cemetery of Berlin. Visitation will be held 2 hours before the service or from 9AM-11AM at the Saint John Lutheran Church of Berlin. Immediately following the services at the cemetery all are invited back to St. John Lutheran Church fellowship hall, for a luncheon and fellowship with the family.
