Mr. Thomas D. Lemke Jr.

Tom passed peacefully into eternal life at his home in Wild Rose on Saturday, December 12, 2015 after an almost 18 month battle with brain cancer. He was continuously surrounded and cared for by his family and girlfriend, who considered it the utmost honor to be there for him and with him as he faced the final chapter of an epic battle. One of Tom’s passions was fishing. He lived to take his boat on the lake and fish, with or without company. He also enjoyed watching the Packer’s, commercial free. He was a master of most trades and able to build just about anything. He had a quick witted humor that almost no one could compete with. He was an amazing son, brother, uncle, father and friend. Not a moment passes where the absence of his quiet presence isn’t felt by his loving parents, Ken & Debbie; his two favorite sisters, Tammy and Tina; his favorite brother Travis; his favorite almost bride, Nikki and their dog, Ruger. He fought, we fought. Until the very last breath, Tom did it his way and couldn’t be more proud of him. Formally survived by: Parents, Deborah & Ken Lewallen; Sisters and Brother with their children: Tammy Verdine & Derek Funk with James, Ashely, Danielle & Dakota; Tina & Tad Masaros with Meadow, Willow & Gunner; Travis Lemke with Alex, Austin, Alysha & Shayla along with Thomas Lemke, Sr. Girlfriend Nicole (Nikki) Traczyk and her mother (Mummsie) Julie Nowakowski. Daughter, Niyah Plante Grandmother Carol Olejnik & Grandpa Howard Lewallen. Godson Richie Olejnik, Jr. III Stepbrothers and stepsister with their children: Ken (Cristy) Lewallen, Drew & Claire; Mike (Val) Lewallen, Hailey & Isabelle; Becky Meyer (special friend Tim), Jackson Tom is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Tom was preceded in death by: Grandfather(s), Richard Olejnik, Raymond Olejnik; Uncle Richard Olejnik, Jr.; Aunt Brenda Olejnik, Grandmother Henrietta Lewallen; Special Buddy and first in line to welcome Tom home, Blair. A visitation will be held at Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home in Berlin on Friday, December 18 from 4pm – 8pm with a brief service led by Pastor John M. Taggatz to follow. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Tom’s family wishes to thank Agnesian Hospice Hope, specifically Leslie for truly understanding Tom & our family; every person who has kept Tom & our family in their prayers. We would also like to thank those that helped in different capacities during and after treatment: Cal, Phyllis, Dina, Richie, Julie, Uncle Carl, Tad, Derek and numerous others who provided emotional support. “Really?”
