Sean Ellis

Sean J Ellis, age 37, of Green Lake, departed this life on Monday, March 16th, 2020, surrounded by the love of his life and life partner, "MJ" (Melissa Sorenson); and family; dad, Mark; aunts and uncles, Becky, Dan and Steve; close friend, Seth Ratering, and Seth's mom, Becky. Sean was born June 17, 1982 in Chicago, and was a 2000 graduate of Green Lake High School. He later was a graduate of Lakeland University in 2002 and a graduate of Madison Media Institute in 2004. Sean had a deep love of music, and especially loved "slappin the bass" on his guitar, whether it was performing shows with the band or rocking out with family and friends, music always put a smile on his face. Sean was an amazing artist who had trouble seeing his own talent. His artwork was admired and loved by all who could see that each piece was a part of him, and like his music, he put his heart and soul into everything he did. Sean had an interest in collecting beautiful stones that he would find in his daily life journeys-he said each stone was "unique" and he was drawn to them. He is survived by his life partner and soulmate, Melissa Sorenson; father, Mark Ellis; paternal grandparents, Dave and Peggy Ellis; aunts and uncles, Rebecca Ellis, Dan Ellis, Therese (Marv) Cichlar, Linda (Jerry) Dalton, Jean (dec. Tom) LeHocky, James-Zorba (Lorraine) Groveau, Bobby (Sue) Groveau, Mark (Loretta) Groveau, and Matthew Groveau; many cousins; and other family members and many friends. He is predeceased by his mother, Lori Ellis; sister, Kathryn Ellis; and maternal grandparents, Elaine and James Groveau. Sean and Melissa have many fur babies, but his special guy was Tobias, who misses him every day. His greatest love was his family and friends, there was nothing more important to him. The family would like to thank all of Sean's very special friends who reached out to him during his last days. We would also like to give a special thank you to Sean's Melissa (his MJ), who showed such love and devotion to him through all the good days and more importantly the bad ones...... True unconditional love. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and more information will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Green Lake Area Animal Shelter- where Sean's buddy Tobias came from. This organization held a special place in Sean's heart.
