Mr. Scott R. Gaab

Scott (Skitter) R. Gaab, 57, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a courageous battle with life. Skitter was born on Friday December 13, 1957, the son of Richard & Mary (Wendler) Gaab. Skitter attended school and raised hell with the "Van Pay boys" in Oshkosh until he met the love of his life Tammi Robinson. They were married on March 31, 1984 and built their life in Berlin. Skitter loved the Packers, tripping the block and running the dogs at the farm, hunting in Mountain with his brothers, hanging at the shack with the boys, watching stock car races, cheering for Dallas and the Wisconsin Badgers, his Irish heritage, spending time with family & friends while living the High Life (Light). His true joy in life were his children Kelsey and Brady. He devoted himself to their lives and activities. They made him proud beyond words. In addition to his children, he adored his grandchildren Harry & Ruby. Skitter was very patient with his families antics and nonsense. He had a wonderful & witty sense of humor, and a heart of gold. He would give you the shirt off his back as long as it wasn't his Packer sweatshirt. Skitter worked for Petraszak Excavating for many years until he was forced to retire due to health reasons. Skitter is survived by his wife Tammi, his "other wife" De Anna Lueptow, his children Kelsey (Marty) Trochinski, Brady Gaab, children of his heart, Amber, Alie, Shanna, Taylor and John, grandchildren, Harry & Ruby. Further survived by his parents, Richard & Mary, brothers & sisters, Mark (Barb), Ellen Scavina, Laurie (Randy) Jones, Jean Leonard, Dan (Dawn), Bob (Kay) and "Stan". Parents in-law Gordie & Gerry Robinson, brothers and sisters in-law Russell Barthels, Rodney (Lenny) Barthels, Roger (Wendy) Robinson. Skitter is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, his dog Clancy and his granddogs, Newman and Walter. Skitter was preceded in death by his dear cousin Patrick John, brother in-laws, Tim Lueptow, Todd Leonard, his "other wife's mother" Beaty Duerr and his pets Salty, Alice and Marsh. Relatives and friends may visit with the family and celebrate his (Irish Wake) on Sunday August 2, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of downtown Berlin, and also visit at the Funeral Home on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the Memorial Service at the Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Inurnment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery of Berlin.
