Ramona Loyce Resop

Ramona Loyce Resop, age 91, of Berlin, WI died peacefully on April 16, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on March 6, 1932, in the town of Rushford, Eureka, WI, the daughter of Joseph M. and Marie J. Posorske. She married Lawrence (Boshine) Resop on May 8, 1954 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Berlin. She graduated from Oshkosh high school and later was employed by Advertising Letter Service as a typist and eventually retired from Midwestern Sport Togs. Ramona was a talented accordion player and throughout her teenage years, along with her sister, would frequently travel throughout the surrounding communities performing in various town halls. She loved gardening and canning vegetables grown from her garden. She was a wonderful baker and enjoyed making delicious cheesecakes, raspberry cakes, and Christmas cookies. Christmas was her favorite holiday. It brought her great joy to spend time with family during the holidays, including baking and decorating cookies, decorating the Christmas tree and simply admiring the beauty of Christmas lights. She loved to admire nature’s beauty by taking car rides to La Crosse to simply enjoy the color of the leaves during Autumn. All of this was made sweeter for her by sharing these, and many other, memories with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a gifted seamstress and embroidered unique baby blankets for each of her four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. It brought her immeasurable happiness to spend time with her grandchildren, but especially her great-grandchildren, to simply observe them playing. She also enjoyed cuddling her dog Brandi. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Parish of Berlin. Survivors include her five children, Mark Resop of Glen Flora, WI, Matthew Resop of Appleton WI, Roxane (Jeff) LaBomascus of Mayville, WI; Peter Resop of Berlin WI, and Annette (Mike) Ratter of Green Lake; Four grandchildren, Paul (Kim) Resop, William (Kelly) Resop, and their mother, Delia; Emille (Matt) Tregellas and Erik (Danielle) Ratter. She is also survived by her seven great-grandchildren, Scarlett Tregellas, Isabella Tregellas, Sophia Ratter, Olivia Ratter. Everly Resop, Easton Resop, and Violet Resop. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence Resop; her parents, Joseph and Marie Posorske; two sisters, Wyona Pope and Yvonne Posorske; brother, Wayne Posorske; and daughter-In-law, Sheree Resop. Family and friends may visit with the family and pay their respects to Ramona on Tuesday April 25, 2023 from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Parish of Berlin with Father John Silva officiating. Burial will follow church services at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery of Berlin.
