Lucille M. Reetz

Lucille M. Reetz, age 91, of Berlin, WI, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 30, 2023, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on April 16, 1932, in the Township of Aurora, Waushara County, Lucille was the cherished daughter of Harry and Theresa (Tetzlaff) Chappa. On April 14, 1953, she married Leonard Reetz, the love of her life, at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Redgranite, WI. Lucille devoted her life to her Catholic faith and the upbringing of her four children on the Reetz Family Farm until their retirement in 1992. Lucille dedicated over 30 years of service to Midwestern Sport Togs, where she worked as a glove stitcher and floor supervisor. Lucille enjoyed spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed tending to her garden, sewing, bird watching, playing cards, as well as showcasing her musical talents with the accordion and harmonica, all while enjoying the lively rhythms of polka dancing. Lucille is survived by her four children: Kathryn (Dan) Beier, Linda Seaman, Ronald Reetz, and Pamela (Chris) Klettke. She leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren - Megan (Andrew) Tully, Brittany (Chris) Esselman, Charles Beier, Kari (Justin) Clark, Jennifer (Corey) Klettke, Stephanie Handrich, and Katelyn (Jeremy) Reisig, as well as great-grandchildren Bridget Tully, Sawyer Esselman, Garrett, Meredith, and Evelyn Clark, Jessica and Isabella Klettke, and Callie Reisig. Lucille is also survived by her brother Robert (Jan) Chappa, sisters Barbara (Fred) Schroeder, Margaret (Don) Van Handel, and Elizabeth (Dwayne) Harger. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Reetz, parents Harry and Theresa (Tetzlaff) Chappa, brother Lawrence Chappa, sisters Patricia (Tom) Hess and Yvonne (Richard) Van Dyke, brother-in-law Richard Van Dyke, and father and mother-in-law Frank and Hulda Reetz. Also preceding her in death was son-in-law Ken Seaman and other aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Catholic Parish in Berlin, WI, on Monday, January 15, 2024, at 11:30 a.m.. The inurnment burial will be held at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin. Friends and family may call at Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home in Berlin, WI, on Sunday, January 14, 2024, from 4:00 – 6:45 p.m. with a rosary recitation at 6:45 p.m. Visitation will also be observed at the funeral home on Monday January 15, 2024, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. before departing for the services at All Saints Catholic Church in Berlin, WI. Immediately following the Mass, all are cordially invited to the All Saints Parish Hall for a luncheon and an opportunity for fellowship with the family. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Lucille's family, friends, ThedaCare Hospice nurses, caregivers, and Dr. Scott Hetzel for their unwavering support, comfort, and care for her during this difficult time. In place of flowers a memorial has been established in Lucille’s memory.
